Taranye Alleyne

Taranye Alleyne’s favorite vacation was to Jacksonville, Florida. It was the longest car ride she has been on when she was 12. She went to Florida with her church family on a 10 hour car ride. “It felt like they were going forever and as if they were in the car for a year” said Taranye about the car ride there.  The reason they went there was for her church to go to a big church meeting with a bunch of churches and the meeting was in Florida because it’s said to be very pretty and warm there.  On the way there they stopped in just about every state because of all the people needing to use the bathroom at different times.
Taranye is the older sister of her little brother who is 8 years old therefore she has to be the best role model she can because her little brother looks up to her and acts like her. She has been to about 4 other schools before hidden valley high school but the one she is at right now is her favorite of them all. She was very scared heading into high school because she thought she was too young and there would be many new faces but when she got here she already knew just about everybody because most of them where the people from her school last year.

When Olivia Sodre was three she was walking and tripped on a piece of concrete and hit her face. When she hit her face her skin was hanging off. Strangely she but wasn’t crying but bouncing up and down in joy. In her words,” It was a situation I wasn’t aware of, so how could I be upset?”

Her family is from Brazil and moved  here before she was born.  Her favorite sport is soccer because it is a game that she and her family can agree on. Nate Kent

Nate Kent Is a well know student. His friends, of course, are quite enthusiastic about him. Last year during football practice, Kent took a blow and suffered a severe concussion. In his words,” When I first woke up, all I saw was the color green, and all I felt was pain.” He says it almost completely erased his memory, for when I tried to ask him about his past (before the concussion) he didn’t know the answer to most of the questions.
Kent is jersey number 4 this year on the Hidden Valley School’s JV Football team. He seems like an outspoken goof, but is quite humble once you get past the macho sportsman exterior. He’s been playing football since he was six years old, from family and friends to Rec. It was a pleasure to write this.
